Sarah Mims used a small UV-B meter to measure changes in
UV-B caused by haze and clouds in South Texas. The large
white instrument next to her is an EPA Brewer
spectrophotometer which measured the ozone layer and UV-B
in the field by Forrest Mims's office during the summer of
